About Course
Course Description
This 3-hour online Continuing Education Unit (CEU) course is designed to equip caregivers and Assisted Living Facility (ALF) managers with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent and respond to falls among residents. Falls are a leading cause of injury and hospitalization in older adults, and effective prevention is critical to maintaining resident safety, dignity, and quality of life.
Through interactive modules, practical case scenarios, and evidence-based strategies, participants will learn how to identify risk factors, implement safety interventions, conduct risk assessments, and respond appropriately to fall incidents. The course also covers essential components of environmental modifications, mobility support, and regulatory compliance, ensuring participants meet professional standards and state requirements.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate and 3 hours of CEU credit, fulfilling part of the mandatory ongoing training for caregivers and ALF personnel.
