The Arizona Institute for Health Sciences (AIHS) offers a streamlined training bundle that combines the Caregiver Training Program with the Arizona State-Required 8-Hour Initial Memory Care Training. This bundle ensures caregivers meet state requirements while gaining the skills needed to provide safe, compassionate, and person-centered care in assisted living settings.
Caregiver Training Program
This program prepares caregivers with essential knowledge and skills, including assistance with ADLs, infection control, safety practices, communication, documentation, and resident rights. The blended-learning format allows flexibility through self-paced online modules supported by expert instruction.
8-Hour Initial Memory Care Training
Designed for caregivers and staff serving residents with dementia, this state-required training (effective July 1, 2025) combines online learning with live skills practice. Topics include dementia progression, communication strategies, behavior management, individualized service planning, safety protocols, abuse prevention, ADLs, medication management, and end-of-life care.
