The Arizona Institute for Health Sciences (AIHS) offers a streamlined training bundle that combines the ALF Manager Training Program with the Arizona State-Required 8-Hour Initial Memory Care Training. This bundle ensures managers meet state requirements while gaining the leadership, regulatory, and clinical oversight skills needed to operate and supervise memory care services in assisted living settings.
ALF Manager Training Program
This program prepares current and aspiring assisted living managers with essential knowledge and competencies, including facility operations, state regulations, resident services management, staff supervision, compliance, and leadership best practices. The blended-learning format provides flexibility through self-paced online modules supported by expert instruction.
8-Hour Initial Memory Care Training
Designed for managers overseeing residents with dementia, this state-required training (effective July 1, 2025) combines online learning with live skills practice. Topics include dementia progression, communication strategies, managing challenging behaviors, individualized service planning, safety and emergency protocols, abuse prevention, ADLs, medication oversight, and end-of-life care.
